What are the Top Weather Stories of 2008?

The weather channel is counting down the top ten weather stories of 2008. While we can't reveal the list (gotta love the suspense), you and I can discuss what we think the biggest weather stories were of 2008. I always think the biggest weather story is the one that affected you most! I have to say though, if Hurricane Ike is not #1 I will be SHOCKED! There's no telling, but this hurricane not only annihilated the Texas coast it brought rain and wind all the way to the Midwest AND was partially to blame for over $4.00 gas, if you could find it, in the south.

So let us have it and tell us what you think the biggest weather story (or stories) was of 2008 and watch Monday, December 8th for TWC's list as well as your responses.

Also, if you have pictures or videos of the weather that happened this year send them in to abramsandbettes@weather.com and we will use them in our "2008 Snapshots" segment. Everyday we are using your pictures and videos of all the weather that happened this year (yes, from January 1st through today). So send them in with all your deets (information) and check out Abrams and Bettes Beyond the Forecast and Evening Edition, 7pm-9pm eastern Monday through Friday.
